A brilliant day was had by all involved with a fundraising and awareness day in memory of Dean Hardy and organised by Brodie Hopper from The Flass Inn at Ushaw Moor.
On Sunday July 2 the community of The Flass Inn and Ushaw Moor came together to celebrate and remember the life of Dean Hardy. The day began with a football match with a twist at the Bobby Robson Centre between the Flass Inn and Hardy FC. The Flass Inn team were dressed as females. After the game further festivities continued back at the Flass Inn including the Miss Ushaw Moor competition again with five men been auctioned off and dressed up to compete for the most glamorous person in the village. Live music and a raffle and other activities took place. Brodie Hopper who organised the fantastic day which brought the community together said. " I would like to say a massive thank you to every single person who took part. I am so grateful to everyone who helped me put the day together and raise a fantastic amount of money. ManHealth are an amazing charity run by amazing people who support men in their battle with mental illness."
