Andy Heslop
Friday 23 December 2022

Andy sold his music which he produced and recorded many years ago and kindly donated the proceeds to ManHealth.

"About 25 years ago I wrote and home-recorded half a dozen songs, which were then skillfully added to/produced by Sean Weldon, with guitars, drums, bass, etc included.... and then, they sat on my iPhone...
Having managed to extricate the songs from said iPhone a few years back, I wanted to try and do something productive with them, maybe somehow share with a wider audience.

The songs could be described as mid 80's indie, my influences at the time of writing were Belle and Sebastian/Elliott Smith/Badly Drawn Boy and other home recorded guitar music."

"Since June this year, ManHealth has helped me to be open and frank about my mental health. I've gained so much clarity and feel much better in my self due to the peer support ManHealth offers... FOR FREE! So many other men have been given the opportunity to speak freely about their mental health, seeking and giving support from/to others. To thank ManHealth for all the work they do in giving men in the North East a voice to express themselves I have decided to be silent for a full day!
