Supporting men through difficulties in their mental and physical ill health, ultimately to prevent suicide.

The Shildon Shindig 2 brilliant weather, great bands and an excellent game of football.

The second and much bigger Shildon Shindig which was held on the 17 May was again blessed with beautiful weather. The crowd gathered in anticipation to view the third instalment of the rivalry between the Team ManHealth and Team Solan in our annual shootout.

ManHealth under the new management of Matthew Arnell and Russ and and a youthful squad who had trained in advance were confident in sealing their first win at the third time of asking. The game which was historic as it was the last ever game to be played on the hallowed turf of Dean Street before an artificial grass was to be laid started brightly for Team ManHealth with an early goal. Team Solan responded almost immediately scoring with a counter attack. The remainder of the game was a close fought encounter and a great game ended with the more experienced Team Solan running out 3:1 winners. The crowds were then entertained by some great bands.

Thank you to all who supported ManHealth and the Shildon Shindig.
